Dear Parents,
We are happy to advise that following a review of excursion planning processes, the need for filling in a Major Consent and Medical Form for all excursions been adjusted. From Term 2 onwards, all Minor Excursion permissions for your child for the remainder of 2025 will be covered by completing and returning the form below.
Minor excursions include visits on foot or by vehicular transport to places of educational value that are part of the curriculum and which last for less than one day. Some examples of minor excursions are:
- Day excursions – Launceston, St Helens, Bicheno etc
- Theatre Performances, movies, exhibitions and museum visits
- Sports Carnivals (Swimming, Athletics, Cross Country, Winter Sports)
- College of inter-school visits
- City activity days
You will still be provided with advance notice of excursions, which will include excursion information, dates, and travel arrangements. If you do not want your child to participate in a particular excursion, you will need to give written notice and state the reasons for withdrawal.
Rather than have parents sign a permission form for every excursion, we ask that you complete the form below to cover all minor excursions during this school year.
All other excursions including those with inherent risk, overnight stays etc, will require you to sign a separate Major Excursion Consent and Medical form prior to the excursion.
