The Grade 8 Visual Art taster class has been studying the work of artist Georgia O'Keeffe with Mrs Howard. They completed a research assignment on her art, analysed her iconic flower paintings and practiced contour drawing techniques. Now, they’re creating their own acrylic paintings on canvas, focusing on a flower of their choice. Inspired by O'Keeffe's style, they are zooming in to capture intricate details and emphasise bold, expressive shapes.  They are also applying what they've learned from the colour theory lessons.
