ST. MARYS OP SHOP
OP SHOP DONATION GUIDE
Thank you so much for choosing to donate your preloved quality items to us here at the St Marys Op Shop. The following information will help you understand how and where you can donate. If you are unsure what is suitable, a general rule of thumb is to ask yourself – “Would I give this to a friend or relative?” or “Would I pay money for this?”. Please make sure donations are clean and functional.
Through the generosity of people like you, our op shop is able, through the School Association, to support families, children and young people throughout St Marys and the wider Break O'Day area. The Association makes grants to the St Marys District School and also provides small grants to community organisations. All proceeds stay local, supporting the local community.
At the shop you can donate anything that you can put in a bag and carry, for example clothing, shoes, bric a brac, toys, books and small furniture etc. Please only donate during shop opening hours.
It’s hard to say “no thank you” to a donation however, we do need to refuse some items either because of legal requirements, or because the item is too big or too heavy or the item must be refused because it costs more to transport, repair or refurbish than it can be sold for in our Op Shop.
